Each month, we are asked to pray for churches or activities in the West District. This month, February, we’re asking for prayers for: Ajo Federated Church; Calvary UMC, Phoenix; Chino Valley UMC; Christ Community UMC, Avondale.
All those without shelter in the severe weather back east, up north, and out west – may they be safe and well.
Those who continue to try and navigate the various systems trying to get appointments for vaccinations.
Those who are homebound – may there be a way for vaccinations to be brought to them.
Stewart B – he is back in the hospital for observation. Prayers of comfort and healing, please. Prayers also for his medical team – that a diagnosis can be found and swift and effective treatments can be implemented.
Michael F – who has symptoms of an allergic reaction. May the itching stop and may he find gentle rest. Prayers for Alan and Katie as they tend to him and try to determine the cause.
Meals on Wheels – prayer for both those that prepare the meals and those that deliver them. They are truly a blessing.
Earl K – as he gets his new tooth; prayers for comfort and healing.
Maureen H (friend and colleague of Nancy B) – Maureen has notable heart issues. Prayers of healing and comfort, please.
Diana H (friend and colleague of Nancy B) – who has an ablation on Wednesday. Prayers of healing and comfort, please.
Dave S (friend of Marion P) – he was hospitalized in mid-December and has been moved to rehab but is struggling to eat and maintaining his weight. Prayers of healing and comfort, please.
Joshua (Patty W‘s family) – who was hospitalized this morning from an overdose. May he be blessed with peace of spirit and guidance to support systems that can help.
Various family and friends of Joe and Darlene R – brother Randy R has contracted COVID; friend Arlene R has a lower GI infection and possibly a stroke; friend Bob P is needing a heart procedure but cannot due to local COVID cases; neighbor Larry R has cancer throughout his body, is in a lot of pain, and on morphine (prayers for wife Sandy as well); friend Doug B has cancer of the back and some small spots on his lung; friend Bonnie L adjusting to the loss of her husband and a very close friend; Emeligh T, family member, has tested positive with COVID; friend Arlene Z is having trouble with her left eye. May God grant peace, healing, and comfort to all!
